Other Experience

 

Senior Technical Director, Orbit Television Network, Rome. I was responsible for all the lighting originating out of the Orbit Centre in Rome. Responsible for the organisation of studio teams and forward planning with the various production channels as to their programming needs.  Acting as Operations Director when necessary, responsible for the smooth running of all Broadcast Operations & Engineering effort and the station output.  Skilled in all studio, EFP and OB operations.

 

Technical Manager, BBC Bristol (Lighting and Technical Co-ordination).  Technical co-ordination on all major events, General, European and Local Elections, Children in Need and many live broadcasts from Bristol’s major studio.

 

Nominated for a Lighting BAFTA for Casualty

 

 

OTHER SKILLS

 

Lecturer at the BBC Engineering Centre at Wood Norton teaching lighting and lighting control, camera operation and picture composition.

I have run courses and seminars on lighting at BBC Centre for Broadcast Skills Training, Samuelson’s Lighting, Optex, Vision 93, Orbit Communications and at LDI in Orlando.
